Some readers have responded in defense of “WVWV.” Until yesterday I had not heard of that organization but the media reports that I read led me to believe that voters in NC were very possibly being disenfranchised by robo-calls made by this group. As I make every attempt possible to keep this space non-partisan I did not mention any names. Since yesterday’s DVN “WVWV’s” actions seem to have become a partisan issue. I regret the involvement of DVN in this issue, though I do want to condemn the use of robo-calls by any organization no matter whom they are supporting or what their goal. …

NAtional: Sequoia Voting Systems’ Desperate Spokesperson/Owner Michelle Shafer Trumpets ‘Success’ in PA, But Failed to Mention a Thing or Two…
https://bradblog.com/?p=5943

NAtional: Dept. of Veterans Affairs Changes Policy on Helping Wounded Soldiers Register to Vote
http://www.alternet.org/story/84050/

NAtional: HBO’S ‘Recount’ and What Really Happened in the Florida 2000 Election (Hint: Gore Won)
https://bradblog.com/?p=5940

NAtional: Editorial – Voter ID ruling will rank among court’s worst
http://www.sacbee.com/110/story/903494.html

NAtional: Voting system creator dies in plane crash
http://www.miamiherald.com/news/florida/story/516486.html

NAtional: Peeling the Onion: Can Voting System Testing be Reliable and Extensive?
http://www.opednews.com/articles/opedne_ellen_th_080430_peeling_the_onion_3a_c.htm

NAtional: Opinion ““ A Poll Tax By Another Name
http://www.philly.com/dailynews/opinion/20080501_A_POLL_TAX_BY_ANOTHER_NAME.html

NAtional: Remote Voting–Who’s Counting?
http://www.opednews.com/articles/genera_marta_st_080501_remote_voting__who_s.htm

NAtional: Movie Reviews: “Uncounted” and “Election Day”
http://www.oregonlive.com/movies/index.ssf/2008/05/movie_reviews_uncounted_and_el.html

FL: FL’s Voter Registration Law Halted Until July 2008
http://brennancenter.org/content/resource/fls_voter_registration_law_halted_until_july_2008

FL: Florida Election Official Involved in More Controversy
http://blog.wired.com/27bstroke6/2008/04/florida-elect-1.html

FL: Osceola County’s early-voting ballots will be printed on demand
http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/local/orl-ovote0108may01,0,6489156.story

MO: Mo.
