Will the Sequoia principals be able to scrape up enough money to stop Hart? Time will tell.

One of the often overlooked mandates in HAVA is an accuracy requirement. Recent problems with Sequoia Advantage machines in New Jersey and Diebold/Premier TSx DREs in Butler Co Ohio violate that mandate (federal law). And, they don’t just barely violate the law but they destroy it. In the case of Sequoia the error rate is more than 600 times as high (or 60,000%) as the maximum error rate allowable under by federal law. In Ohio the Diebold/Premier machines the error rate is between 400 to 900 times (40,000% to 90,000%) the rate allowed by federal law. …

NAtional: Exclusive: Hart Intercivic Attempts Hostile Takeover of Sequoia Voting Systems
https://bradblog.com/?p=5885

NAtional: Report: E-voting firms in hostile-takeover tussle
http://www.computerworld.com/action/article.do?command=viewArticleBasic&articleId=9076758&intsrc=news_ts_head

NAtional: House seeks early lessons from ’08 voting foul-ups
http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2008/04/electionlessons.html

NAtional: Improve Poll Worker Training and Get More Machines, Voting Rights Groups Tell Congress
http://www.blackamericaweb.com/site.aspx/bawnews/movingamerica08/paneltestimony410

NAtional: Sen.
