{"id":5801,"date":"2008-03-13T06:20:45","date_gmt":"2008-03-13T13:20:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bradblog.com\/?p=5801"},"modified":"2008-03-13T07:35:23","modified_gmt":"2008-03-13T14:35:23","slug":"msnbc-cancels-tucker-finally","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bradblog.com\/?p=5801","title":{"rendered":"MSNBC Cancels &#8216;Tucker&#8217; &#8211; Finally!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/bradblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Tucker-Carlson_031308.jpg\" hspace=\"6\" border=\"0\" vspace=\"3\" align=\"right\">Among the most annoying affectations of Tucker Carlson, the conservative host of MSNBC&#8217;s afternoon gabfest, &#8220;Tucker,&#8221; is his habit  of feigning confusion by crinkling his nose,  scrunching his brow  and saying &#8220;I&#8217;m confused,&#8221; before launching into a discourse about something a Democrat has done &#8212; about which he is not really the least bit confused.  <\/p>\n<p>I wonder if he crinkled his nose like that and said, &#8220;I&#8217;m confused,&#8221; when MNBC told him <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mediabistro.com\/tvnewser\/msnbc\/tucker_carlson_it_was_a_good_show_im_proud_of_it_79544.asp\">his show was canceled<\/a>:<\/p>\n<div class=\"media\">&#8220;It was a good show. I&#8217;m proud of it,&#8221; Tucker Carlson tells TVNewser about his now-canceled MSNBC daily program, which began in 2005.<\/p>\n<p>Carlson says the show &#8220;\u201d with his conservative perspective &#8220;\u201d is not a fit for the MSNBC prime time &#8216;brand&#8217;. &#8220;Which of (the programs) is not like the other? That was always the feeling I got, watching the lineup&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;You can only really be who you are. I couldn&#8217;t pretend to be something else, not that anyone asked me to be somebody else. I was kind of out there, by myself.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Since word of the cancellation, he says, &#8220;They&#8217;ve been really nice to me&#8230;I like working for NBC. They want me to stay, and I&#8217;m going to stay, so I can&#8217;t complain.&#8221; <\/p><\/div>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>And: <\/p>\n<div class=\"media\">&#8220;Sometimes when you fail,&#8221; he adds, &#8220;you feel embarrassed. I really don&#8217;t feel like we failed.&#8221;<\/div>\n<p>Carlson, who is a descendant of the founder of the Swansons frozen food empire and whose great-uncle was J.
