Of course this means buying more equipment from the vendors. Rather than just buying more they should be turning to the vendors of their failed touch-screen systems and demanding their money back. If nothing else, the California “Top-To-Bottom” review proved that the machines the vendors peddled were unreliable, inaccessible, and insecure. It’s time that the vendors were held responsible for their sales practices. Not to be outdone, election officials in some Pennsylvania counties are demanding that they be allowed to use their AVS WinVote system. The federally certified lab iBeta has stopped testing the latest AVS product because AVS decided not to pay their bill. Before they stopped testing, though, iBeta found 1,946 source code anomalies, 25 serious documentation problems, and an unauthorized change of motherboards. Election officials want to ignore those problems….

CA: Getting the Election Watchdog Message in the Media LINK

CA: Riverside County registrar of voters to consider other companies for paper ballots and scanners LINK

CA: Riverside County, CA to Hold Sequoia Accountable for Lies, Faulty Voting Machines? LINK

CA: San Bernardino County to go back to paper ballots LINK

CO: Larimer County – Officials fear voting plans will be tardy
State must recertify systems LINK

CO: Montrose County – Re-certification delay prompts county clerk to go all-paper LINK

PA: PA Counties May Return to Lever Voting Machines – or Paper – After E-Vote Vendor Refuses to Pay Federal Test Lab LINK

PA: Lackawanna County – Voting Plan B may be needed LINK

TX: Judge dismisses Democrats’ e-vote lawsuit LINK

WV: Kanawha County – Guard Against Misplaced Ballots LINK

**”Daily Voting News” is meant as a comprehensive listing of reports each day concerning issues related to election and voting news around the country regardless of quality or political slant.
