{"id":4936,"date":"2007-08-09T13:00:27","date_gmt":"2007-08-09T20:00:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bradblog.com\/?p=4936"},"modified":"2007-08-10T01:20:07","modified_gmt":"2007-08-10T08:20:07","slug":"kucinich-interested-in-legal-action-against-voting-machine-companies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bradblog.com\/?p=4936","title":{"rendered":"Kucinich Says Legal Action May Need to be Taken Against Voting Machine Companies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Guest Blogged by John Gideon, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.votersunite.org\">VotersUnite.Org<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/BradBlog.com\/Images\/DennisKucinich_Flag.jpg\" hspace=\"6\" vspace=\"3\" border=\"0\" align=\"left\">Last night Congressman Dennis Kucinich was one of two guests on the Election Integrity radio program, &#8220;Voice of the Voters,&#8221; which airs weekly at 8PM Eastern on WNJC Radio 1360AM and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.voiceofthevoters.org\/\">streams live<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The subject was voting machines, the vendors, and the voters, and Kucinich raised the possibility that the recent studies done on such systems in California might be the basis of a lawsuit to throw out &#8220;that technology.&#8221; He said felt that legal action, in this instance, may be a faster route than waiting on Congress to act.<\/p>\n<p>He also discussed his concerns about the use of Direct Recording Electronic (DRE, usually touch-screen) voting machines in general, and expressed his feeling that they do not allow for confidence by the electorate. &#8220;There is a question of validity of an election.
