Among them:<\/p>\n<div class=\"media\">&#8220;I couldn&#8217;t have sat down and said to you, By the way, we&#8217;re going to be so victorious so quickly that we&#8217;ll end up having to fight another third of the Baathists over the next year in order to bring liberty to the country.\u201c<\/div>\n<p>Of course you could have. That&#8217;s your j-o-b. You&#8217;re the &#8220;President&#8221;! You are <i>precisely<\/i> supposed to look at <i>all<\/i> such possibilities. It&#8217;s called &#8220;Leadership&#8221; and &#8220;Judgement&#8221;. You know, those things you are <i>running<\/i> on and trying to trick folks into believing that you actually have!<\/p>\n<p>And if you &#8220;couldn&#8217;t&#8221; have imagined such a thing, perhaps had your read your <i>own father&#8217;s own book<\/i>, you might have had a hint! Look what your Dad said, Junior!:<\/p>\n<p><b>&#8220;Trying to eliminate Saddam &#8230; would have incurred incalculable human and political costs. &#8230; We would have been forced to occupy Baghdad and, in effect, rule Iraq. &#8230; [T]here was no viable &#8216;exit strategy&#8217; we could see&#8230; Had we gone the invasion route, the United States could conceivably still be an occupying power in a bitterly hostile land.&#8221;<\/b><\/p>\n<p>To quote you, Mr. &#8220;President&#8221; &#8212; &#8220;Is our children learning&#8221;?<\/p>\n<p>Apparently they isn&#8217;t.<\/p>\n<p>Back to Drudge\/Time\/Dubya:<\/p>\n<div class=\"media\">On what the most important thing is that he&#8217;s learned from the past four years, Bush says, \u201cI&#8217;ve learned that Washington is a much more bitter, ugly place, dominated by special interests, than I ever envisioned. I was surprised.\u201d<\/div>\n<p>Is it just me, or didn&#8217;t Dubya work for his Dad in <i>Washington<\/i> when he was Veep for 8 years, and then President for 4? And yet, Dubya just <i>&#8220;learned&#8221;<\/i> this about Washington? He couldn&#8217;t have &#8220;envisioned&#8221; it?!<\/p>\n<p>Who does he want us to think he is, Gomer Pyle who just flew inta D.C. for the first time!?<\/p>\n<p>Sorry, Mr. Smith, we ain&#8217;t buyin&#8217; it. Unless, for some reason, you simply forgot everything that happened to you during the years of 1980 &#8211; 1992 for some reason. Which is it Mr. &#8220;President&#8221;? Are you lying? Do you think we&#8217;re stupid?
