{"id":430,"date":"2004-08-27T12:31:51","date_gmt":"2004-08-27T16:31:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.test.bradblog.com\/?p=430"},"modified":"2004-08-27T12:31:51","modified_gmt":"2004-08-27T16:31:51","slug":"your-daily-show-does-it-again","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bradblog.com\/?p=430","title":{"rendered":"Your &#8216;Daily Show&#8217; Does it Again"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><i>(Blogged by Brad from the road&#8230;)<\/i><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/BradBlog.com\/Images\/StephenColbert.jpg\" hspace=\"6\" vspace=\"3\" border=\"0\" align=\"left\">Not sure if last night&#8217;s show was a repeat or not, I&#8217;ve missed quite a few while being on the road, but the interview with Bill Clinton (following the one with John Kerry a few days before) was quite a coup for the basic cable, low rent comedy show.<\/p>\n<p>None the less, <i>The Daily Show<\/i> continues to offer the best coverage of Election &#8217;04 available believe it or not. So it&#8217;s little wonder that so many are now getting the bulk of their news from it, according to a Pew poll released last week.<\/p>\n<p>Surely <i>Daily Show<\/i> viewers are <i>at least<\/i> as informed about what the hell is going out on out there as Fox News watchers. And undoubtedly, more so.<\/p>\n<p>Last night, Stephen Colbert&#8217;s interview with &#8220;The Democratic Party&#8221; was a stitch. My quick search of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.TheDailyShow.com\" target=\"_blank\"><i>The Daily&#8217;s<\/i><\/a> website didn&#8217;t turn up the video. So if anyone has a link to it, please post it in comments. (I believe the show will re-run today at 7pm, otherwise).<\/p>\n<p>And while you&#8217;re there, Rob Corddry&#8217;s &#8220;Don&#8217;t Mess With Texas&#8221; piece was also a hoot. I was able to find <a href=\"http:\/\/www.comedycentral.com\/mp\/play.php?player=realplayer&#038;type=v&#038;quality=high&#038;reposid=\/multimedia\/tds\/cord\/cord_9020.html\" target=\"_blank\">the video<\/a> for that one.
