Dionne<\/a> in <i>WaPo<\/i>. We concur. Lame.<\/p>\n<p>For the record, and once and for all, American democracy doesn&#8217;t need paper <i>trails<\/i>! American democracy needs paper <b><i>ballots<\/b><\/i>! Can we at least get <i>that<\/i> much straight by now?!<\/p>\n<p>If you don&#8217;t believe me, just wait until your first high-profile challenged election occurs on touch-screen voting machines which use paper <i>trails<\/i> instead of a paper <i>ballots<\/i>. (You may not need to wait very long.) Just watch and see how much confidence those paper <i>trails<\/i> will offer skeptics during the challenge.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond that, did we mention how lame the editorial was? It would have been a great piece had this been October 2004 instead of October <i>2006<\/i>!<\/p>\n<p>And they actually <i>pay<\/i> people to write those columns in the <I>Washington Post<\/i>? While we have to beg for donations??? (Speaking of which&#8230;we haven&#8217;t done so in a long time, so please feel free to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.paypal.com\/xclick\/business=TheBradBlog@cville.com&#038;item_name=Help+Support+The+BRAD+BLOG&#038;item_number=123456\">drop something in our tip jar<\/a> if you can!
