{"id":3147,"date":"2006-07-29T18:28:16","date_gmt":"2006-07-30T01:28:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bradblog.com\/?p=3147"},"modified":"2007-04-19T12:59:13","modified_gmt":"2007-04-19T19:59:13","slug":"florida-did-privately-owned-health-clinic-aid-and-abet-a-homicide","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bradblog.com\/?p=3147","title":{"rendered":"Florida: Did Privately-Owned Health Clinic Aid and Abet a Homicide?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From <a href=\"http:\/\/cbs4.com\/topstories\/local_story_209213550.html\">CBS 4<\/a> based in Miami:<\/p>\n<div class=\"media\">Hialeah Police Homicide Detectives are investigating the gruesome discovery of a dead baby&#8217;s body inside of an abortion clinic but conflicting stories may prove there&#8217;s more to the discovery than meets the eye.<\/p>\n<p>The body was found at &#8220;A Gynecologists Diagnostic Center,&#8221;\u009d 3671 West 16th Avenue in Hialeah&#8230;<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The story goes on to indicate that a woman whose identity is not public arrived last Thursday at the clinic 22 weeks pregnant. She was seeking an abortion.<\/p>\n<p>The woman gave birth at the clinic. An unidentified caller, possibly a clinic worker, notified police that the baby was born alive.<\/p>\n<p>The police came once and did not find a body. Then they were called to the scene a second time, apparently Friday night &#8212; July 28th &#8212; and they discovered a dead baby in a biohazard bag. The body they found was 12 inches long and weighed between 2 and 3 pounds.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The baby, police believe, was born prematurely, and at the moment police aren&#8217;t sure how the child died.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/cbs4.com\/video\/?id=20733@wfor.dayport.com\">This link<\/a> will take you to a video from CBS 4 in Miami detailing the clinic&#8217;s closing. <a href=\"http:\/\/cbs4.com\/topstories\/local_story_209213550.html\">This is a link<\/a> to an article that accompanied the video, and in that article we find the following:<\/p>\n<div class=\"media\">&#8220;In 24 years in law enforcement, I have never seen a case like this,&#8221; said Hialeah Detective Tony Rodriguez, the lead investigator.<\/p>\n<p>Detectives believe the abortion clinic tampered with the evidence. The fetus was reportedly 12 inches long and weighed 2-3 pounds.<\/p>\n<p>Hialeah Police PIO, Frank Gonzalez, believe the baby was born premature and is unsure how the baby died.<\/p>\n<p>The clinic&#8217;s doors have been closed while the investigation continues&#8230;<\/p><\/div>\n<p>In January of 2005, the following was published in the <em>South Florida Sun-Sentinel, <\/em>Ft. Lauderdale:<\/p>\n<div class=\"media\">MIRAMAR<\/p>\n<p>Judge asked to revoke abortion clinic&#8217;s license<\/p>\n<p>State health regulators on Wednesday asked an administrative judge to revoke the medical license of a Miramar abortion clinic, saying an unlicensed doctor and another unlicensed employee performed abortions.<\/p>\n<p>A Gyn of Miramar let Robelto Osborne of Miami terminate pregnancies even after he lost his medical license in August, the Agency for Health Care Administration said in its complaint. Osborne&#8217;s license had been revoked for mishandling a patient with a perforated uterus, state documents show.<\/p>\n<p>After abortions by unlicensed personnel, clinic patients had complications &#8212; including incomplete fetal removal &#8212; that required further treatment, the agency&#8217;s complaint said. Witnesses also reported that non-physicians performed other medical procedures, the complaint said.<\/p>\n<p>A woman who answered the phone at A Gyn. said the clinic would contest the agency&#8217;s action, but she declined to elaborate or give her name. The top officers of A Gyn, President Siomara Senises of Davie and Vice President Belkis Gonzalez of Miramar, also run two other abortion clinics in Hialeah, state records show&#8230;<\/p><\/div>\n<p>A Gyn. of Miramar is now an inactive corporation in the Florida Division of Corporations database.<\/p>\n<p>Further examination of the Florida Division of Corporations information reveals some things about A Gynecologist&#8217;s Diagnostic Center&#8217;s owners that might raise a few eyebrows.<\/p>\n<p>All the following have two women&#8217;s names in common, Siomara Senises and Belkis Gonzalez. These are all listed as for-profit organizations:<\/p>\n<div class=\"media\">A Gyn. of Hialeah, Inc.<br \/>\nA Gyn. of Miramar, Inc.<br \/>\nA Gyn. Diagnostic Center, Inc.<\/div>\n<p>In the same database, Belkis Gonzalez is a registered agent for the following:<\/p>\n<div class=\"media\">B &#038; C MEDICAL, INC.<br \/>\nICHA SEAFOOD, INC.<\/div>\n<p>Someone using the names &#8220;Belkys Gonzalez&#8221; and &#8220;Belquis Gonzalez&#8221; is also a registered agent for 6 other businesses. None of them appear to have any relationship to healthcare.<\/p>\n<p>Siomara Senises is a registered agent for the following:<\/p>\n<div class=\"media\">A Woman&#8217;s Care, Inc.<br \/>\nCibao Auto, Inc. (inactive)<\/div>\n<p>The name of a licensed medical professional showed up only a few times in these records &#8212; in documents available through the Corporations database, a Dr. Frantz Bazile is listed as an officer for one of the &#8220;A Gyn.&#8221; entities.<\/p>\n<p>A look at another Florida state database lobbed a grenade into the middle of this story:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dc.state.fl.us\/ActiveOffenders\/detail.asp?Bookmark=1&#038;From=list&#038;SessionID=378880635\">Belkis Jerez-Gonzalez<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The source in question was the Florida Corrections database, and the result was for a white woman, approximately 39-40 years of age, named Belkis Gonzalez, on 3 years probation for felony <strong><em>aggravated battery on a pregnant victim<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Was the woman who was president of the Hialeah clinic <em>on probation<\/em> for assaulting a pregnant woman?
