During my radio debate last weekend with Ann Coulter on the Ron Insana Show — audio here<\/a> (exchange in question at appx. 17 minute mark) — Coulter correctly suggested that evidence needed to be presented in re: allegations about Sen. Bill Frist’s potential misdeeds concerning sales of stock he owned in his family’s hospital chain before he should be found guilty. While I agreed with that, I remarked that Coulter was more<\/i> than happy to call Bill Clinton “a felon” and “a rapist” before evidence was put forward in court or any jury had found him guilty to those ends.<\/p>\n

Insana followed up on the fact that Clinton was rarely given “the benefit of the doubt” in the media and by Coulter specifically in such matters.<\/p>\n

She answered, in part, this way:<\/p>\n

COULTER: What do you mean? Of course he was given the benefit of the doubt. And by the way, I’ve moved on from Clinton.<\/div>\n

That interview, where Coulter sneared that she’d “moved on from Clinton” was October 1, 2005.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, back in Reality Land, a quick check of Ann Coulter’s personal website<\/a> reveals the following two articles in her “Quotations from Chairman Ann” section. The first was written on October 2, 2005 — the day after<\/i> her quote above.<\/p>\n

here are a few questions: 1) What do you make of President Clinton’s recent flurry of activity ? the disaster-relief fundraising, the Global Initiative conference at the U.N. with top foreign leaders (and Condi Rice), a cover article in Parade magazine this week, James Lee Witt on Air Force One a couple weeks ago to give advice on handling Katrina? ANSWER: His heart doctor has advised him not to masturbate for a while 2) I’ve heard through the grapevine that Presidents 42 and 41 have gotten quite chummy since they started globetrotting together and making TV ads. Have you heard this? What do you think of it? ANSWER: Bush 41 is a good-hearted, if somewhat mushy, philanthropical type. As for Bill Clinton, his heart doctor has advised him not to masturbate for awhile. 3) Is Clinton’s activity aimed at boosting his wife’s 2008 prospects? How\/why or why not? If so, do you think it will be effective or backfire or perhaps be a wash? ANSWER: Well, I think by now you’ve got my drift. <\/p><\/div>\n

At least she’s a terrific<\/i> spokesperson for today’s Republican Party! Being, as she is, apparently genetically incapable of telling the truth. But more than adquately programmed to lie and then lie and then follow it up with a lie. And then lie about it.<\/p>\n
