According to Washington Post<\/em> (free gift link<\/a>), Donald J. Trump’s name is now off The Kennedy Center, though curtains still obscure the court-ordered, corrected sign…<\/p>\n

UPDATES…<\/strong><\/p>\n

Friday, 7:45pm ET<\/a><\/strong>: After a last minute appeal by Trump, an Appeals Court rules his name must come down tonight<\/i>!<\/p>\n

7:50pm ET<\/strong>: Shortly after the ruling, a double rainbow came out over the Kennedy Center. Seriously.<\/p>\n

Saturday, 1:15am ET<\/strong>: Following hours constructing the scaffolding, and more than an hour after Trump’s name was supposed to be removed by court order from the building, workers began hoisting up curtaining to hide the removal of the letters.<\/p>\n

2:00am ET<\/strong>: The Acosta live stream below reports that the Kennedy Center has now requested a 12 hour extension for the removal of Trump’s name. It was reportedly granted by the court. Were it not for the addition of a curtain, it could have been done hours ago. <\/p>\n

As a commenter elsewhere observed, the ten hours it took to build scaffolding to set up the curtains are solely to protect Trump’s tiny little ego. A cherry picker was used to put up<\/em> the letters. It could have been used to take them down as well. But he doesn’t want anybody to get photos of the letters coming down. What a loser. <\/p>\n
