And yet it&#8217;s quite notable, so here it is&#8230;<\/p>\n<div class=\"media\">BOSTON &#8212; The U.S. Supreme Court refused Friday to block the nation&#8217;s first state-sanctioned gay marriages from taking place here starting next week. <\/p>\n<p>The justices declined without comment to intervene and block clerks from issuing marriage licenses to gay couples in Massachusetts. The state&#8217;s highest court had ruled in November that the state constitution allows gay couples to marry and declared that the process would begin Monday.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>At least <i>something<\/i> is still going right in this country and even the Supremes didn&#8217;t screw this one up!
