[<i>Audio link to full show follows this summary.<\/i>]\n<p><b>Donald Trump<\/b> is now running on the <i>promise<\/i> of political violence &#8212; whether he wins <i>or<\/i> loses. He made that clear (again) during this past weekend&#8217;s rallies, interviews and social media postings as he continues to up his violent rhetoric with each passing day, embraces strongman tropes and <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/donald-trump-jan-6-pardons-2024-campaign-2401ead35cb1402a7b289c2c99761373\">celebrates his supporters&#8217; deadly attempt<\/a> to overthrow the Constitution and U.S. Government on his behalf on January 6, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>The <i>real<\/i> context of Trump&#8217;s weekend rally in <b>Ohio<\/b>, threatening a &#8220;bloodbath for the country&#8221; if he loses this November, should be clear by now to anyone who hasn&#8217;t already drunk his Kool-Aid. If it isn&#8217;t, we attempt to rectify that today. And it has little to nothing to do with cars from China as his Kool-Aid drunk cultists and apologists are attempting to argue. Historians like <a href=\"https:\/\/snyder.substack.com\/p\/the-bloodbath-candidate\"><b>Timothy Snyder<\/b><\/a> (author of <i>On Tyranny<\/i> and <i>The Road to Unfreedom<\/i>) and <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/donald-trump-jan-6-pardons-2024-campaign-2401ead35cb1402a7b289c2c99761373\"><b>Jason Stanley<\/b><\/a> (author of <i>How Fascism Works<\/i>) are shouting from the rooftops to make that clear. So are folks like conservative attorney <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/gtconway3d\/status\/1769359228043407709?s=20\"><b>George Conway<\/b><\/a> and progressive journalist <a href=\"https:\/\/talkingpointsmemo.com\/edblog\/how-not-to-fall-for-yet-more-trumper-textualism-about-his-latest-threat-of-violence\/sharetoken\/ajyDaeGPdKKF\"><b>Josh Marshall<\/b><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><i>In other largely related news today&#8230;<\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Former Trump trade advisor <b>Peter Navarro<\/b>, a key player in the disgraced former President&#8217;s false claims that the 2020 election was stolen from him, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2024\/03\/19\/politics\/peter-navarro-jail-contempt-of-congress\/index.html\">reported to a federal corrections facility<\/a> in Miami today to begin a fourth month sentence, becoming the first Trump White House official to go to prison on charges related to Trump&#8217;s failed attempt to steal the 2020 election from the American people.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Election denying <b>Michigan<\/b> MAGA attorney <b>Stefanie Lambert<\/b>, charged on four counts related to the unlawful breach of voting systems in the state, was <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/voting-machines-dominion-defamation-68d3f3a4e840ccb7a81d72837c4f6b3e\">arrested in D.C.<\/a> on Monday after a hearing in a separate case in which she is defending billionaire election denier <b>Patrick Byrne<\/b> who is being sued for defamation by <b>Dominion Voting Systems<\/b>. Her arrest by U.S. Marshals was related to her failure to show up for a hearing in her own case back in MI, even as she improperly released discovery documents from the Dominion case to the public.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The corrupted <b>U.S. Supreme Court<\/b> <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/supreme-court-migrant-arrests-texas-13ffaed316d16f42e928f6958f0658f2\">allowed<\/a> a <b>Texas<\/b> law to take effect today that <a href=\"https:\/\/talkingpointsmemo.com\/news\/scotus-bows-to-texas-bid-to-annex-immigration-enforcement-away-from-feds-for-now\">overturns more than a century of federal immigration authority<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.cornell.edu\/wex\/supremacy_clause\">Supremacy Clause<\/a> of the U.S. Constitution which has long held that federal law trumps state law. The TX statute, which allows state and local police to arrest people they suspect have violated federal immigration law, is similar to <b>Arizona<\/b>&#8216;s 2012 &#8220;Papers Please&#8221; law that was blocked at the time by SCOTUS. But neither Court precedent nor the Constitution appear to mean much anymore to the current, far-right supermajority on the High Court.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>There is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2024\/03\/17\/biden-state-of-the-union-invitation-republicans\">movement<\/a> among <b>Congressional Republicans<\/b> to prevent <b>Joe Biden<\/b> from giving a State of the Union Address to Congress next year under the premise that his speech two weeks ago was &#8220;divisive&#8221; and &#8220;hyper-partisan&#8221;. (And you know how much Republicans hate <i>that<\/i> sort of thing, especially at SOTU!)
