[<i>Audio link to full show follows below this summary.<\/i>]\n<p>Among the many stories covered on today&#8217;s program&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wednesday&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/chiefs-super-bowl-parade-shooting-kansas-city-62e69a17b469b854afd7bcc3f548d1fc\">mass shooting<\/a> at the <b>Kansas City<\/b> Chief&#8217;s Super Bowl victory rally; Wednesday&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ajc.com\/education\/four-students-shot-at-atlantas-benjamin-e-mays-high-school\/FCVFVEUKDFD25DZOCKG5QVNPVM\/\">mass shooting<\/a> at an <b>Atlanta<\/b> high school; <b>President Biden<\/b>&#8216;s official <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/statements-releases\/2024\/02\/14\/statement-from-president-joe-biden-on-todays-deadly-gun-violence\/\">response<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Special Counsel <b>Jack Smith<\/b>&#8216;s speedy <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supremecourt.gov\/DocketPDF\/23\/23A745\/300627\/20240214180323991_23A745_Trump%20v.%20United%20States_Gov.%20stay%20resp_FINAL.pdf\">filing [PDF]<\/a> at <b>SCOTUS<\/b> in response to <b>Donald Trump<\/b>&#8216;s <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/trump-special-counsel-election-interference-january-6-c2dcc83e56a541804d4785f6bb6cd45c\">continuing attempt<\/a> to further delay his federal trial related to his attempts to steal the 2020 election with his absurd claim that Presidents enjoy &#8220;absolute immunity&#8221; for any and all crimes committed while serving in office.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><b>New York<\/b> State Judge <b>Juan Merchan<\/b> on Thursday confirmed <b>Trump<\/b>&#8216;s trial <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/trump-hush-money-new-york-criminal-case-fbdff18df40920b75873b3a40317f5ee\">will begin<\/a> on March 25 on 34 criminal felony charges related to hush-money payments made to a porn star to help him win the 2016 election. The judge rejected Team Trump&#8217;s argument that sitting for a trial related to cheating to win the 2016 election will hamper his efforts to win the 2024 election.  The trial is expected to last for six weeks. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>A salacious sidebar to the 13 criminal felony counts <b>Trump<\/b> is facing in <b>Georgia<\/b> for his failed conspiracy to steal the state&#8217;s 2020 election played out in a Fulton County courtroom on Thursday. A defiant District Attorney <b>Fani Willis<\/b> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/donald-trump\/fulton-county-da-fani-willis-testify-hearing-get-disqualified-trump-ca-rcna138900\">responded<\/a> on the witness stand to charges from one of Trump&#8217;s 18 alleged co-conspirators that the D.A.&#8217;s romantic relationship with one of the prosecutors on the case was either inappropriate or somehow a conflict of interest effecting the charges brought against Trump and his co-defendants. Willis was defiant in her response to questions and her testimony will continue on Friday.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><i>BREAKING DURING SHOW!<\/i>: A former FBI informant named <b>Alexander Smirnov<\/b> was <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/hunter-biden-burisma-fbi-informant-lying-6969656f6012780a23a4b8841ce2689b\">arrested and charged<\/a> with lying to government officials in the summer of 2020 about <b>Joe Biden<\/b> and his son <b>Hunter<\/b> receiving millions of dollars in bribes from <b>Burisma<\/b>, a Ukrainian energy company. Those lies have been a central part of Trump and <b>Rudy Giuliani<\/b> and <b>House Republicans<\/b>&#8216; phony, years-long attempts to smear the Biden family and impeach President Biden. Today&#8217;s felony charges were filed by Trump-appointed Special Counsel <b>David Weiss<\/b>, who was tapped by Trump A.G. <b>Bill Barr<\/b> five years ago to try and find dirt on the Bidens. He found it instead on those spreading the dirt.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>A few thoughts on how corporate mainstream media headlines, social media posts and mobile phone alerts can dangerously distort news.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>A few thoughts on how <b>Phoenix, Arizona<\/b> media outlets <b>3TV<\/b> and <b>CBS 5<\/b> are seemingly doing the bidding of the fossil fuel industry while pretending to be consumer advocates. We details some of their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azfamily.com\/2023\/12\/08\/20k-hybrid-battery-replacement-shocks-arizona-driver\/\">dishonest and misleading coverage<\/a> of the cost of battery replacements for hybrid <b>Electric Vehicles<\/b>.
