[<i>Audio link to full show follows this summary.<\/i>]\n<p>Among the stories covered on today&#8217;s program&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Popularity of <b>solar<\/b> and other <b>renewable energy<\/b> sources is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/sustainability\/climate-energy\/global-survey-shows-two-thirds-population-favours-solar-power-2023-09-15\/\">reportedly<\/a> soaring across the globe, according to a huge <a href=\"https:\/\/glocalities.com\/reports\/harnessingsolarpower\">new survey<\/a>, as support for <b>fossil fuels<\/b> plummets amid our quickly worsening climate crisis.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The persistence of progressive protesters and environmental advocates demanding a &#8220;Green New Deal&#8221; continues to pay off as <b>President Biden<\/b> <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/biden-climate-corps-conservation-green-new-deal-d1ea0e218c8754b90f8446ad57aed689\">unveils<\/a> an Executive Order for creation of the <b>American Climate Corps<\/b>, <a href=\"https:\/\/hartmannreport.com\/p\/america-gets-a-civilian-climate-corps-8fd\">echoing<\/a> <b>FDR<\/b>&#8216;s legendary Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Despite public displays of confidence and false bravado, privately <b>Donald Trump<\/b> is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/politics\/politics-features\/trump-prison-conviction-trial-1234828231\/\">reportedly terrified<\/a> of the possibility of going to prison. He should be. For one, there would be nobody to dye his hair, blow-dry his comb-over or apply his orange bronzer make-up which, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/books\/2023\/sep\/20\/trump-meadows-joked-covid-biden-debate-cassidy-hutchinson-book\">according to<\/a> a new book by former White House staffer <b>Cassidy Hutchinson<\/b>, is likely the reason that rightwing supporters of Trump had to also be against wearing life-saving masks during the worst of the COVID crisis, leaving hundreds of thousands of them dead in support of Trump&#8217;s malignantly narcissistic vanity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The <b>Minnesota<\/b> Supreme Court has set a <a href=\"https:\/\/assets.bwbx.io\/documents\/users\/iqjWHBFdfxIU\/r7QLwhbTYAjA\/v0\">briefing and argument schedule [PDF]<\/a> this week on a lawsuit brought by its former Sec. of State and the Constitutional law experts at <a href=\"https:\/\/freespeechforpeople.org\">Free Speech for People<\/a>, seeking Trump&#8217;s disqualification from the state&#8217;s primary and general election ballots under <a href=\"https:\/\/constitution.congress.gov\/browse\/amendment-14\/section-3\/\">Section 3 of the 14th Amendment<\/a>, the &#8220;Insurrectionist Disqualification Clause.&#8221; This matter is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.startribune.com\/minnesota-supreme-court-to-hear-arguments-nov-2-in-president-trump-ballot-challenge\/600306222\/\">likely to move quickly<\/a>, since names on the ballot must be settled by January 2 to be printed and mailed out in time for the state&#8217;s March 5, Super Tuesday primary.
