{"id":1361,"date":"2005-04-28T13:07:57","date_gmt":"2005-04-28T17:07:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.test.bradblog.com\/?p=1361"},"modified":"2005-04-28T13:07:57","modified_gmt":"2005-04-28T17:07:57","slug":"chicago-tribune-nixon-moral-example-on-election-issues","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bradblog.com\/?p=1361","title":{"rendered":"Chicago Tribune: Nixon &#8216;Moral Example&#8217; on Election Issues!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last week, <a href=\"https:\/\/bradblog.com\/archives\/00001321.htm\">an article of ours<\/a> pointed to Bob Koehler&#8217;s watershed column headlined <a href=\"http:\/\/commonwonders.com\/archives\/col290.htm\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;The silent scream of numbers: The 2004 election was stolen \u2014 will someone please tell the media?&#8221;<\/a> as the first time such words had been uttered by someone considered to be a part of the Mainstream Media.<\/p>\n<p>Koehler appeared on our radio show that weekend to discuss it (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bradshow.com\/Archives\/BradShow_041605_Hour4.mp3\">Archive of that interview in MP3<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Koehler is editor and columnist for Tribune Media Services where he published his article for any of the Tribune Media&#8217;s clients to pick up and run in their papers. Few, apparently, did.<\/p>\n<p><i>Chicago Tribune<\/i> itself did not run his article, but has apparently found it fitting today to run a column which attempts to <i>debunk<\/i> his column! Without even the courtesy of running it first! (Bob&#8217;s words were &#8220;debunk&#8221;, we would suggest &#8220;attack&#8221; is the more appropriate description!)<\/p>\n<p>Take a look at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chicagotribune.com\/news\/opinion\/chi-0504280106apr28,0,5908365.column?coll=chi-ed_opinion_publiced-utl\" target=\"_blank\">the column today<\/a> by Tribune Public Editor, Don Wycliff. Be astounded or appalled. Your choice. Either way, you may wish to help educate Mr. Wycliff politely so he doesn&#8217;t make quite as much of an ass out of himself in future columns.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re still on the roll ourselves, as we will continue to be for several days at least, so virtually no time for a detailed rebuttal here. I&#8217;ll leave that to you BRAD BLOGGERS instead.
