As you know, it’s been an insane few weeks in the news. I begin each show with an update on the latest from Trumpland and Impeachment World. Today, we witnessed a Trump meltdown that started with presidential profanity on Twitter in the wee hours of the morning, and continued through two media moments with the president of Finland looking on, horrified!<\/p>\n

We had two great guests today. I wanted to get a whistleblower’s take on what’s happening, so I reached out to JOHN KIRIAKOU<\/strong><\/a>, who served 23 months in prison for blowing the whistle on the US torture program during the Bush years, who brings a unique perspective to the story. He’s written three great books<\/a> on his experience. <\/p>\n

Then, I went the academic route, and called on HARVEY J. KAYE<\/a><\/strong>, author and professor of Democracy and Justice Studies at the University of Wisconsin, Green Bay, to get his thoughts on this moment in history.<\/p>\n
