Many of those clouds seemed to roll in all at once today for some reason, but we cover as many as we can on today&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/BradBlog.com\/BradCast\"><i>BradCast<\/i><\/a>. [<i>Audio link to full show is posted below.<\/i>]\n<p>Among the stories on today&#8217;s busy program&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Huge explosions, a raging fire, and 10-mile evacuations at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.startribune.com\/refinery-explosion-in-superior-wis-injures-at-least-20\/480954841\/\">another oil refinery<\/a> today, this time in Wisconsin;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Bill Cosby is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2018\/04\/26\/arts\/television\/bill-cosby-guilty-retrial.html\">found guilty<\/a> on three felony counts of drugging and sexually assaulting a woman and now faces the rest of his life in prison;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Tens of thousands of teachers <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/89a24152327845d1876822a02640d4ca\/Teachers-in-Arizona,-Colorado-rally-to-protest-funding,-pay\">walked out<\/a> in Arizona and Colorado on Thursday, demanding increased funding for education after years of slashed state budgets to help pay for tax cuts to the rich and corporations;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>A spate of <a href=\"https:\/\/talkingpointsmemo.com\/dc\/more-good-news-for-senate-dems-in-new-polling\">new polling<\/a> suggest Senate Republicans may face a storm of accountability this November, with encouraging numbers for Democratic candidates in at least three different states &#8212; Arizona, Tennessee and Nevada &#8212; where they hope to flip &#8220;red&#8221; seats to &#8220;blue&#8221; to regain majority control of the upper chamber of Congress this fall. (And also in a fourth state, if you include Texas, where Sen. Ted Cruz&#8217; challenger Rep. Beto O&#8217;Rourke is now within <a href=\"https:\/\/poll.qu.edu\/texas\/release-detail?ReleaseID=2536\">&#8220;too close to call&#8221;<\/a> striking distance, according to new polling, even as the Democrat is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.texastribune.org\/2018\/04\/24\/beto-orourke-major-democratic-super-pac-donor-thanks-no-thanks\/\">refusing<\/a> corporate and super PAC funding, even from billionaire Tom Steyer);<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>No accountability to date, however, for the anti-gay, anti-Muslim, anti-environment, pro-war CIA Director Mike Pompeo, who was <a href=\"https:\/\/talkingpointsmemo.com\/news\/senate-confirms-pompeo-secretary-of-state\">narrowly confirmed<\/a> in the U.S. Senate today as Donald Trump&#8217;s new Secretary of State;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The Senate Judiciary Committee <a href=\"http:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/senate\/384990-senate-panel-approves-bill-to-protect-special-counsel\">voted to approve<\/a> a bi-partisan bill to protect Special Counsel Robert Mueller from being fired by Trump, though obstructionism from GOP leadership in the full Senate and U.S. House will likely prevent the legislation from going any further;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Admiral Ronny Jackson, Trump&#8217;s personal White House physician and his nominee to head the Dept. of Veterans Affairs finally <a href=\"https:\/\/mobile.nytimes.com\/2018\/04\/26\/us\/politics\/ronny-jackson-nomination-withdrawn.html\">withdrew his name<\/a> from consideration following a host of <a href=\"https:\/\/talkingpointsmemo.com\/livewire\/summary-details-ronny-jackson-allegations-about-drinking-and-dangerous-prescriptions\">damning allegations<\/a> from current and former White House and military co-workers unearthed by Sen. Jon Tester (MT), the ranking Democratic member of the Senate Veterans Affairs Committee;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Trump&#8217;s wildly corrupt and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2018\/04\/06\/politics\/scott-pruitt-controversies-list\/index.html\">scandal-plagued<\/a> EPA chief Scott Pruitt finally faced a bit of accountability, at least from Dems, as he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/amp\/story\/2018\/04\/26\/scott-pruitt-congress-hearing-555152\">testified<\/a> before two separate House Committees on Thursday and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/megwagner\/status\/989513110762307584?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw&#038;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.cnn.com%2Fpolitics%2Flive-news%2Fepa-pruitt-congress-hearing%2Findex.html\">refused to answer<\/a> many <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/megwagner\/status\/989545029105414144\">direct questions<\/a>, threw much of his staff under the bus, and denied responsibility for the mountain of personal corruption scandals he continues to face &#8212; even as <a href=\"https:\/\/talkingpointsmemo.com\/livewire\/frank-lobiondo-is-fifth-republican-to-call-for-scott-pruitt-to-resign\">bi-partisan calls<\/a> for his resignation continue;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>And, finally, Desi Doyen joins us for the latest <a href=\"https:\/\/GreenNews.BradBlog.com\"><i>Green News Report<\/i><\/a>, with more on Pruitt&#8217;s anti-climate perfidy, French President Emmanuel Macron&#8217;s blistering swipes at President Trump&#8217;s environmental record during a joint session of Congress, and much more.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Yes, it was another insanely busy news day, but we gotcha covered, in one fast moving hour today.
