[<i>Audio link posted below.<\/i>]\n<p>We&#8217;ve been reporting on the two-term, &#8216;Tea Party&#8217; dimwit for years, describing him variously as both the <a href=\"https:\/\/bradblog.com\/?p=11260\">nation&#8217;s dumbest Governor<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/bradblog.com\/?p=10698\">worst in history<\/a>. But now, at the seeming climax of a months-long saga concerning <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pressherald.com\/2016\/08\/25\/aclu-of-maine-asks-lepage-to-produce-binder-of-recent-maine-drug-arrests\/\">racist comments<\/a> by LePage, a threatening and obscene <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pressherald.com\/2016\/08\/26\/prove-im-a-racist-lepage-challenges-westbrook-legislator-in-obscenity-laced-voice-mail\/\">voicemail<\/a> he recently left for a Democratic state lawmaker, comments about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pressherald.com\/2016\/08\/26\/prove-im-a-racist-lepage-challenges-westbrook-legislator-in-obscenity-laced-voice-mail\/\">shooting<\/a> that lawmaker in the head and, this week, an apparent emergency <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pressherald.com\/2016\/08\/29\/maine-republican-leaders-say-they-want-to-meet-with-gov-lepage-to-discuss-corrective-actions-for-his-statements-about-a-westbrook-lawmaker\/\">intervention<\/a> by GOP state legislators, the possibility of <a href=\"http:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Politics\/maine-gov-paul-lepage-resignation-rumors-greatly-exaggerated\/story?id=41746290\">resignation<\/a> &#8212; or, perhaps, mental breakdown &#8212; is seeming likelier by the minute.<\/p>\n<p>We cover that insane story today, how this loon became a two-term Governor in the first place in an otherwise not-insane state (hint: you can thank third party challengers), and how, even after all of the <i>years<\/i> of LePage&#8217;s various embarrassments, Donald Trump has <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pressherald.com\/2016\/08\/04\/in-interview-with-press-herald-trump-plays-up-grassroots-support-lepage-and-world-peace\/\">said<\/a> this month that he&#8217;d be <i>delighted<\/i> to consider the Maine Governor for a role in his White House cabinet!<\/p>\n<p>Then, Apple <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/tech\/news\/2016\/08\/29\/apple-could-hit-irish-tax-bill-millions\/89548370\/\">owes<\/a> $14.5B in back taxes in Europe, but it could <a href=\"http:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/us-taxpayers-could-end-covering-000000874.html\">cost<\/a> the U.S.; One county official in Colorado is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.denverpost.com\/2016\/08\/19\/routt-county-treasurer-rejects-peabody-tax-underpayment\/\">standing up<\/a> to a major coal company in bankruptcy to force them to pay what they owe in taxes;
