most of which underscore, yet again, why elections and representative democracy matter&#8230;no matter what the corporate &#8220;news&#8221; media tries to tell ya.<\/p>\n<p>Among the stories covered on today&#8217;s thrilling episode!&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>New polls find, once again, that Bernie Sanders leads Hillary Clinton in match-ups against <a href=\"http:\/\/maristpoll.marist.edu\/wp-content\/misc\/usapolls\/us160329\/MCC\/General%20Election\/McClatchy_Marist%20Poll_General%20Election__Complete%20Survey%20Findings_Nature%20of%20the%20Sample%20and%20Tables_April%202016.pdf\"><i>all<\/i><\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/thehill.com\/blogs\/ballot-box\/presidential-races\/275469-poll-ryan-would-lose-general-election-to-clinton-sanders\">potential<\/a> Republican opponents (and even among Democrats <a href=\"http:\/\/talkingpointsmemo.com\/polltracker\/sanders-leads-recalcitrant-supporters-mcclatchy-april\">nationally<\/a>); Also, that the front-runners in each party are remarkably <a href=\"http:\/\/maristpoll.marist.edu\/47-delegate-front-runners-clinton-and-trump-benefit-from-each-other\/\">unpopular<\/a> within their own parties.<\/li>\n<li>Bruce Springsteen <a href=\"http:\/\/brucespringsteen.net\/#post-10243\">cancels<\/a> a North Carolina concert Sunday due to the state Republicans&#8217; new pro-discrimination law;<\/li>\n<li>The GOP in Nebraska is attempting to <a href=\"http:\/\/talkingpointsmemo.com\/news\/nebraska-blue-dot-republicans\">&#8216;swipe&#8217;<\/a> a potential electoral college vote from Democrats;<\/li>\n<li>San Francisco (where the economy is booming, as it is elsewhere here in California, now under Democratic control), becomes the first U.S. city to <a href=\"http:\/\/time.com\/money\/4282825\/san-francisco-paid-parental-leave\/\">mandate<\/a> paid parental leave;<\/li>\n<li>More clear evidence that thinking <i>big<\/i> about policies and progressive ideas pays off when the people bother to fight for them and turn out to vote (when they are <i>allowed<\/i> to vote, anyway), rather than turn cynical and stay home.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All of that and much much more on today&#8217;s program, including new evidence that the Keystone pipeline leak in South Dakota is <a href=\"http:\/\/money.cnn.com\/2016\/04\/07\/news\/keystone-oil-spill-south-dakota\/\">far worse<\/a> than originally reported by TransCanada, the company which owns it, and Desi Doyen joins us with the latest <a href=\"https:\/\/GreenNews.BradBlog.com\"><i>Green News Report<\/i><\/a> which also includes some very encouraging news today&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\".\/Images\/Speaker_Icon_24.png\" style=\"width: 24px;
