Shorrock, author of the book Spies for Hire: The Secret World of Intelligence Outsourcing<\/i><\/a>\"\", describes the unprecedented privatization of our national security apparatus and how “the public is badly misled by the media” during debates about intelligence policies when “former” intelligence officials are presented to the public as experts without disclosure of their continuing<\/i> financial ties to the industry.<\/p>\n
