This time, according to the <i>law<\/i>&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>From <a href=\"http:\/\/apnews.myway.com\/article\/20041231\/D87ABVQO0.html\" target=\"_blank\">the <i>AP<\/i> article<\/a>&#8230;<\/p>\n<div class=\"media\">The two candidates, who received less than 0.3 percent of the Ohio vote, paid $113,600 for a statewide recount after the vote was certified earlier this month by the secretary of state. They have said they don&#8217;t expect to change the election results, but want to make sure that every vote is proply [sic] counted.<\/div>\n<p>We congratulate the Greens and Libertarians again for aggressively standing up for democracy, and expect that all good Americans (even <b>Republicans<\/b>) will support their call for standards to be followed and the rule of law to be strictly applied.<\/p>\n<p>In not-unrelated news&#8230;<\/p>\n<div class=\"list\">\n<li>Ohio Secretary of State J. Kenneth Blackwell (who also served as the Co-Chair for Ohio&#8217;s Bush\/Cheney Re-Elect Committee) <a href=\"http:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/US\/wireStory?id=365294&#038;CMP=OTC-RSSFeeds0312\" target=\"_blank\">still thinks he shouldn&#8217;t have to give a deposition<\/a> in the Ohio Election Fraud lawsuit despite being the supposedly non-partisan head of elections in the state.<\/li>\n<li>The Republican Supreme Court Justice <a href=\"http:\/\/apnews.myway.com\/article\/20041230\/D87A1GTG0.html\" target=\"_blank\">refused to recuse himself<\/a> from the case despite having been on the ballot in question.<\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"http:\/\/apnews.myway.com\/article\/20041231\/D87ACP7O0.html\" target=\"_blank\">Democrat is officially announced Governor-elect<\/a> in Washington state&#8230;<\/li>\n<li>&#8230;While the Republican wants a do-over and <a href=\"http:\/\/apnews.myway.com\/article\/20041229\/D879C7EG1.html\" target=\"_blank\">the GOP goes fishing for Vote Fraud<\/a>. <i>(Dissidents!)<\/i><\/li>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Arguing that the initial Ohio recount was flawed due to a lack of uniform standards throughout Ohio (Florida 2000, Bush v Gore, anybody?) attorneys for the Green and Libertarian Parties filed in Federal Court this afternoon to have Ohio counted again.
