Today we crossed a milestone. As luck — I mean, really<\/i> smart planning a little over five years ago — would have it, our 500th episode of the Green News Report<\/i><\/a> just happened to be today…on Earth Day. Yes, we totally<\/i> planned it that way.<\/p>\n

Those who know The BRAD BLOG<\/a> know that we have, for more than 10 years now, tried to cover what is important<\/i> here. Stuff that really matters<\/i>. Not stuff that may be popular. Not stuff that is meant to please any particular constituency or funder. Not stuff that will necessarily bring clicks and traffic and comments. Not ‘listicles’ and kitty photos and ‘sideboob’. Rather, we try to focus on what you need<\/i> to know and\/or that which is not being adequately covered elsewhere.<\/p>\n

To that end, we need<\/i> your support to continue doing what so few sites are willing or able to do (much less for more than 10 years<\/a>, as is the case with the blog — and now more than 5 years<\/a> bringing you and the public airwaves that will have us, 500 episodes<\/a> of “independent green news, politics, analysis and snarky comment”.)<\/p>\n

In case you’re wondering, nobody pays<\/i> us to do the GNR<\/i>. We do it because we believe it’s needed and it’s the right thing to do. I should say, nobody pays us to do the GNR<\/i> other than you<\/i>!<\/p>\n
