{"id":10117,"date":"2013-07-09T11:41:47","date_gmt":"2013-07-09T18:41:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bradblog.com\/?p=10117"},"modified":"2013-07-09T11:40:54","modified_gmt":"2013-07-09T18:40:54","slug":"case-closed-dead-people-still-not-voting-in-sc-according-to-18-month-law-enforcement-probe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bradblog.com\/?p=10117","title":{"rendered":"Case Closed: &#8216;Dead People&#8217; STILL Not Voting in SC According to 18-Month Law Enforcement Probe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/BradBlog.com\/Images\/DawnOfTheVotingDead_ColumbiaFreeTimes_0112.jpg\" hspace=\"6\" vspace=\"3\" border=\"0\" align=\"right\">At the beginning of 2012, the Executive Director of the South Carolina State Election Commission <a href=\"https:\/\/bradblog.com\/?p=9098\">demolished the claim<\/a>, put forward by the state&#8217;s Republican Attorney General, that some 953 votes in the state had been cast in recent elections by &#8220;dead people&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>They hadn&#8217;t, of course, and the claim was little more than a transparent ruse to try and &#8220;stuff the ballot boxes&#8221; in support of polling place Photo ID restrictions meant to disenfranchise largely minority, poor, elderly and student (read: Democratic-leaning) voters.<\/p>\n<p>Unsatisfied with actual facts and stuff at the time, state Republicans tasked the State&#8217;s Law Enforcement Division (SLED) with investigating the matter and, what do you know &#8212; despite claims happily aired by Fox &#8220;News&#8221; from every Republican in the state, from the Governor to the AG to the party apparatchik last year &#8212; it turns out zombie voters are <i>still<\/i> not voting in SC, no matter how many times the pretend claims are investigated.<\/p>\n<p>After an 18-month probe, just before last week&#8217;s holiday, when few <strike>suckers<\/strike>, <strike>chumps<\/strike>, <strike>pawns<\/strike>, <strike>stooges<\/strike>, Republican Fox &#8220;News&#8221; viewers might notice, SLED quietly issued a <a href=\"http:\/\/issuu.com\/free_times\/docs\/pages_from_sled_voter_report-1?e=2149876\/3876631\">report recommending no further action<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.free-times.com\/blogs\/18-months-later-sc-law-enforcement-closes-case-on-zombie-voters-finds-no\">closed its investigation into the completely bogus claims<\/a> after concluding <i>none<\/i> of the accusations were true &#8212; as MSNBC&#8217;s Al Sharpton was kind enough to highlight&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><center><object width=\"420\" height=\"245\" id=\"msnbc8383d6\" classid=\"clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000\" codebase=\"http:\/\/download.macromedia.com\/pub\/shockwave\/cabs\/flash\/swflash.cab#version=10,0,0,0\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.msnbc.msn.com\/id\/32545640\" \/><param name=\"FlashVars\" value=\"launch=52425383&amp;width=420&amp;height=245\" \/><param name=\"allowScriptAccess\" value=\"always\" \/><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\" \/><param name=\"wmode\" value=\"transparent\" \/><embed name=\"msnbc8383d6\" src=\"http:\/\/www.msnbc.msn.com\/id\/32545640\" width=\"420\" height=\"245\" FlashVars=\"launch=52425383&amp;width=420&amp;height=245\" allowscriptaccess=\"always\" allowFullScreen=\"true\" wmode=\"transparent\" type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" pluginspage=\"http:\/\/www.adobe.com\/shockwave\/download\/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash\"><\/embed><\/object><\/center><\/p>\n<p>There once was a day when the Republican Party actually fought for legislation concerning actual, <i>real<\/i> things, right?
