They want a pledge??? Oh my God - He took the OATH of OFFICE and broke it already a dozen times. They want a pledge?? Smart fellers they are!
Well, it's a nice fluffy letter, but Bush doesn't read, remember?
They should have started off the letter with "HEY SHITHEAD!" It probably would have ben more his style.
The pic looks like he plays a mean piano tho! Heh, would that he had such a skill though. Any skill at all.

Good. Time to get this letter out everywhere and spread it through all the press.....and definitely forward it to the Department of Justice, please.
You know as well as anyone else here that they are accessories to treason, and Bob Woodward was involved in this and in no circumstances should any further pardons or deals be made whatsoever.
Bush should also be blasted in public via the press and the internet if he has considered it, thought about it, anything at all--which should be included in any impeachment process if and when that time comes.

The letter carries more credibility with polite language, albeit this White House crew doesn't deserve the politeness.
The response will no doubt be along the lines of, "This matter is still under investigation..." of course. Still, if a non-partisan request is publicized, and pressure is brought to bear not to pardon anyone, that can only be good news.

MMIIX: He seems to think the buck never stops with him which is just totally incorrect and total fallacy.
This guy needs to really seek god and get himself some help, because he (Bush) has been willingly used in a very sick plot relating to treason and not even his dad is talking to him anymore.
There is no way that he should get a pass for anything, especially if they want him to pardon people. He may be ignorant, but not that ignorant---this is about the national security of everyone involved. And this is where it has got to go and what the press needs to put forward and make the real issue here....Lies about treason and treason itself is never okay, and is punishable by maximum prison and penalties. Especially in with due injury intended towards the United States of America.

I have noticed that during the Bush admin police activity, at high levels such as the FBI, waxes and wanes in intensity.
Remember the chinese spy Clint Curtis outed? I think his name was Henry Lee or Nee ...
He was caught stealing secrets and sending them to china. Congressman Feeney, close to Delay, was the spy's lawyer for a time.
Well that spy got off. Similar cases in the news now (link here) haven't let the spys off.
It seems that only this admin thinks its spies and its outings are to be favored.

Related to all Americans:
Bushit America 2005 to everyone with a gun. Drive to Montana today and kill a buffalo any way you see fit that stumbles outside Yellowstone National Park. In fact now that the rules of forestry are changed why don't we go kill whatever humans don't while hunting. Killing a specie once at the brink of complete extinction by the white man trying to control Indians which hunted and lived with the animal can now walk up to an American Buffalo that strays outside the Yellowstone designated park area of protection and kill the wild animal. If the the buffalo is wearing blue she is flaunting 1000 x higher intelligence than the collection of humans who decided on an open hunt the species as a form of population control outside their safe haven. If the buffalo is wearing red he is signifying his 3000 x higher intelligence than the American people watching and allowing the corrupt US government to rule without repercussion of their lies and criminal under handed action.

"You asked the question Should the US torture detainees?
That you would ask this question, to me, reveals that you are in bed with ('embedded') the forces at work to kill our democracy with 'a thousand cuts'. A slow death to democracy.
You have not covered the GAO report that shows that voting machines used in the last two or so elections can be hacked and corrupted by elementary students (link here).
The report is not an internet conspiracy theory. Instead it is a matter of fact report by a government agency composed of americans and is bi-partisan.
Should we torture? Torture who? Torture the american democracy with tired stories as democracy dies?
As elections are stolen one after the other while the MSM partakes of lurid lust with its partners in covering up the big crimes?
The answer is not only NO, it is HELL NO!!!
Stop supporting torture of democracy in all its forms. Or suffer the fate of newspapers ... fading into the obscurity of being irrelevant to what we call news.

Give me a friggin break. The only indictments returned related to the investigation itself and not any illegal disclosure, which tells me that Fitzgerald confirmed what most thinking Americans already knew: No crime occurred. The idea that Bush shouldn't pardon those on his staff who were victimized by this witch hunt is absurd. He should pardon them and do it now! As a criminal defense lawyer, the only objection I have with this whole process is that Scooter Libby agreed to say anything. He should have shut his mouth and left Fitzgerald hanging with no indictments whatsoever.

So, are you saying your opinion is more valueable than anyone else because you say you are a criminal defense lawyer?
Can you point out any illegality in the process of granting the CIA request for a DOJ investigation to the outing of one of its covert agents?
Are you of the opinion that the CIA knew less about the covert status of one of its agents than the average spin master, and therefore made a mistake in the agent's covert status and mistakenly asked the DOJ for an investigation?
Or that the DOJ in response violated the law in starting a "witch hunt" and Scooter was thereafter so incompetent that he lied has ass off?
Or lawyers like Scooter so accustomed to lie talk that they can't help themselves?
He is facing 30 years in prison because of a fanciful witch hunt?

Yeah Kevin you're a criminal defense laywer like I'm the bloody queen of england. I wonder if you said the same thing about the perjury trap Kenneth Starr invoked upon Clinton to finish off his witch hunt. Why were the republicans all up in arms over Obstruction of Justice and perjury during Clinton but don't seem to care when Scooter does the same crimes? The problem is that justice has been obstructed this does not mean a crime did not occur but rather the evidence is being buried to hide the crime. That's why the obstruction of Justice charge exists because they are not willing to turn over documents. A crime was committed and even the special prosecuter said the CIA agent was outed. Even further still is the crime in outing Brewster Jennings. Apparently you don't understand the consequences of outing front organizations for our intelligence services. Not only is one person directly put in harm's way but everyone else who was related to the front company.

That's sweet of you to say, Mr. Smith (re: #11), and I'm sure you're a real cracker jack lawyer with myriad huge cases for mommy to put up on the fridge, but I think you may have missed the boat on this one.
If put forth last week, you're point MAY have been relevant, if not wholly tired, unoriginal, and dangerously complacent. However, I think the point of this little love note being discussed here, at this time (as in right now...on planet Earth... independant of what any newspaper or other national agency of the like is putting forth as viable discussion...) is possibly a step or so beyond that concept, chronologically speaking.
You see, (please note: I'm not being judgemental or obtuse and insensitive. I understand that the actual skill of READING may not be required for certification or passing the bar exam here in the U.S., and lord knows that any requisite of actual ability to discern comprehensively any subject matter to be read by budding young attourneys would just be ludicrous and unfair, so I'll recap for you v-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y...and in terms a lawyer is sure to understand...then you can have a cookie!), I'm fairly certain that somehow, for some crazy reason, through some unknown occultist (probably satanic) method of divination, someone who may or may not be referred to by myself as "ME" or "I", or any other title of distinction similar or dissimilar to any distinction calling to mind a self-reference on the part of anyone viewing or otherwise witnessing such an act of affirmative identification, got the idea from this letter that the matter of legality is far from being the only matter of weight or bearing in the aforementioned, yet unresolved matter currently under full investigation by one Patrick Fitzgerald. It is the subsequent desire of any/all entities determined by the aforementioned standards of recognition to be "ME" (alias: "I") to put forth that it has come to the attention of such (an) entity(ies), by methods not discussed herein, that the matter formerly designated, and generally recognized by persons of sound mind as "National Security" may, in fact have implications, consequences, valid party to, and/or be in various ways affected by an undetermined number of factors and/or conditions (obviously satanic) outside the realm or field of bearing to be determined and presided over by the legal establishment of the United States of America.
(And, just in case you're interested, or for those of you keeping score at home, these bastards actually had the audacity (overtly satanic--I mean, c'mon...) to imply that, even if not determined, by the legal establishment and the standards of law so far established for the populace of this country, to have been at fault or in the wrong, certain members of the current executive administration, whose numbers and identities have yet to be fully determined, may have alreadycaused great damage to our national security in multiple ways, along with having the potential to further damage both the national security and the image of said administration, particulary in regards to the seriousness of such security, and in the eyes of the American people.)
But you're right--they DID in fact request that the president [not] do something-or-other in regards to some sort of legal investigation and convictions that it may produce--so yes, I think that was mentioned in there somewhere. Good job--I'm so proud of you. Here's a cookie. Now go away because the adults are talking, okay?

Here is the link to the page: http://www.whitehouse.go...2001/12/20011204-17.html
I am not a conspiracy theorist, but I came across this on a Rap message board.
Q One thing, Mr. President, is that you have no idea how much you've done for this country. And another thing is that, how did you feel when you heard about the terrorist attack? (Applause.)
THE PRESIDENT: Thank you, Jordan. Well, Jordan, you're not going to believe what state I was in when I heard about the terrorist attack. I was in Florida. And my Chief of Staff, Andy Card --- actually, I was in a classroom talking about a reading program that works. I was sitting outside the classroom waiting to go in, and I saw an airplane hit the tower --- the TV was obviously on. And I used to fly, myself, and I said, well, there's one terrible pilot. I said, it must have been a horrible accident.
But I was whisked off there, I didn't have much time to think about it. And I was sitting in the classroom, and Andy Card, my Chief of Staff, who is sitting over here, walked in and said, "A second plane has hit the tower, America is under attack."
THERE WAS NO FOOTAGE OF THE FIRST ATTACK UNTIL LATER!!!!!!! HOW THE HELL DID HE SEE THE FIRST ATTACK AND THINK TO HIMSELF ANYTHING IF THERE WAS NO FIRST ATTACK FOOTAGE SEEN UNTIL AFTER THE SECOND ATTACK?????? This was a Town Hall meeting in Dec. 2001. His memory of the event should have been fresh in his mind.

I wonder about the role of the CFR in all of this. I think Judy Miller along with the whole cabal of warmongers all are CFR members. The media's seemingly stupid inability to grasp the "big picture" of this case... and their focus on technicalities and spin... also seems to suggest that the whole thing is a lot of secret handshakes, winks, and backroom wrangling.
It's all just bullshit. There are no ethics in Washington. And if the Democrats aren't willing to point this out and just call it what it is... then they are probably in on it, too. John Kerry knew from his special investigations all the ins and outs of the Bush family... from Iran Contra, to the S & L scandal, to the BCCI terrorism fiaso, to CIA involvement in Drug Trafficking. This is not "secret" information. But he hasn't done anything important with that knowledge.
If you've read John Cusack's brilliant entry at the Huffington Post... he writes about the sort of smirking admissions of Kristol (who pushed the war and continues to push policy). It seems as if they are all going to burst with laughter at the big hoax they've pulled on America.
If the weapons smuggling pimp Oliver North can be brought onto TV to provide commentary without America coming unglued... I suspect that 50% of Americans are already innoculated against the idea that the powerful can break the law in the first place.

I'm researching the DLC now - the "New Democrats." I'm looking for ties to PNAC people because I think we'll find this is the key. PNAC members have a Manifest Destiny mindset.
In Georgia there are 2 Dems running for Governor. Cathy "Diebold" Cox and Mark Taylor. The "progressive" Dems in this area are calling for Mark Taylor as their candidate, but on the DLC site I found Mark Taylor's bio and he stated his "favorite politician" is Zell Miller (who you might remember is the elected Democrat who flipped to Republican during his latest term as Senator.)
So - when people pay attention, they'll surely see this insidious internal infection.

Well Medium [head is]Right[up his ass].. (#19).. I read that article.. Know what the difference is? then Saddam wasn't letting inspectors inspect, and war planes were diverted once already (probably making Saddam think we were bluffing).. Then you have the prescision strikes on military targets and only over 2 days or so.. and NO loss of American Troops, and no "war".. The action got inspectors back in country..
Now, contrast that with what Shrubby did. Shrubby wasn't saying "we need to make Saddam comply with inspectors", Saddam -was- complying with inspectors. I heard the reports from Shrubby that he wasn't, but we have reports from the U.N. that he -was- allowing inspections to a degree. Yes, Saddam was playing games and being a dick about inspections, FIVE YEARS after the last "military show of force".. When Shrubby started deploying troops near Iraq, Saddam became FULLY COMPLIANT.. remeber that bit? I do.. Yet, Shrubby said "too late, we're coming in". That's a world of difference from what Clinton did, don't you think? AND, Clinton didn't get us stuck in a 2 year war that cost $300 BILLION and 2060+ troops and 10s of thousands of civilians...
If you are -really- that ignorant, not to see the TOTAL difference in not just the ACTIONS taken, but the justifications for actions (the U.N. wasn't telling us not to bomb him in '98, were they? Yet, they said STAY OUT when Shrubby attacked) are completely different. The costs (both human and monetary) are completely different.. If Shrubby would have told a few fighter wings to "bomb military targets", we'd not be having this discussion, now would we..
Also.. Clinton is no saint in my book. But, sometimes being President forces you to make tough calls. The difference between Clinton and Shrubby is, Clinton made a tough call that GOT THE JOB DONE, and didn't do it with an American Troop Body Count.. get it? Shrubby had no plan, didn't listen to advisors that told him he needed a LOT more troops, and attacked -despite- Saddam letting inspectors do their jobs..
There is no rational/sane/decent justification/defense of Bush. At this point, it's clear that anyone appologizing for him or trying to spin his madness is morally deficient and intellectually minuscule.

Hey Right Agenda Moron, Kevin Smith perhaps you can take that bet to the CIA. They're the ones who discovered a real crime was committed and that's why the indictments are out with more on the way.
By the way, you might want to go back up Stephen Hadley. He might need your help now that he's been identified as a confirmed traitor, and he might request another useless bag of hot-air to try to run his conferences!!!

"which tells me that Fitzgerald confirmed what most thinking Americans already knew: No crime occurred."
If the fact that the only indictments SO FAR are for Libby's obstruction and purjury is enough for you to conclude "no crime occured" in an ongoing investigation, you are a pretty shitty lawyer.. sorry.. The -fact- is, Plame was an undercover agent (according to the CIA). She was working on WMD proliferation.. actively.. trying to keep the world and our country safe. If giving her name (and CLASSIFIED job) to reporters isn't a "crime", then please! tell me what is? Leaking classified information IS A CRIME.. get it moron? AND, Fitzy-boy is NOT DONE.. when he packs up tent and is no longer hearing evidence in this case, then you "might be able to conclude" something.. My guess is, though.. all you will be able to conclude is, Fitzy can't "prove" who committed the crime, not that one wasn't committed.. The crime, CLEARY, was committed.. by "whom" is what may or may not ever be "proved".

I guess you are Medium Right like some one who is “a little bit Pregnant”.
Mr. Clinton was a true right wing Democrat. He was not a liberal in any way.
His lies to the public are real and need to be examined.
His lies, however, did not rise to the level of leading us into war.
While we are at it you should look into the lies given out by:
Ike Eisenhower (lied about why we should be in Viet Nam) and told the truth about the Military Industrial Complex.
John F. Kennedy (lied about the problems with Cuba.) lied about the need to help Viet Nam. Oh yeah he had a blue skirt too.
L. Johnson (lied about Viet Nam) and some of his voters. But at least he had some shame.
Dick Nixon Lied about Viet Nam over and over again (resigned because he was going to be impeached over abuse of power and trying to subvert the rule of law and elections to his favor.) BTW Nixon was a liberal compared to Clinton.
J. Carter (voted out because Raygun and Bush had a deal with Iran to sell arms so the hostages would not be given up before the election.)
R. Raygun (Oh yeah they also broke the law of the land by sending money to the Contras and had drugs sent into Clinton state as well as Los Angeles.) Clinton may have been involved... Who knows.) Lied about the need for a “drug war”
GHW Bush Lied about needing to get involved with Noriega and Kuwait. Invaded Iraq after having been a supplier of the problem. Lied about his involvement in Iran Contra.
B. Clinton Lied about his need to bomb an aspirin Factory.
As I recall the only war he got us involved in was the result of a long conflict started by Mr. Bush Sr.
And a blue dress...
I think you are Medium because you have not spent time learning anything that Fox did not broadcast.
Fox has cheated BOTH the left and the right by not telling the truth about anything.
Without the truth we can never decide what really happened and we (as a people and country) can never move into a future where we can get past the wasteful stinginess of the Right and the paranoid inability to decide of the liberals.
Please LEARN enough to become either a
Well Done Right Wingnut
