The Florida Legislature has four similiar/identical bills concerning voting in Florida, requiring paper trails. Everybody, including non-Floridians shoud contact the legislators in our state and let them know that this is an important issue and request that they support these bills. The USA's future is at stake!
Bill numbers, HB 1401 sponsored by Rep. Gibson and others; SB 2720 sponsored by Sen. Klein; SB 2732 sponsored by Sen. Siplin and SB 1910 sponsored by Sen. Smith.
Links to the FL leglislature are as follows:

Follow the links for the representative's and senator's contact information. You may also find a copy of the bills on these links

Speaking of voting, there is a turf war going on between Specter and Roberts as to which committee should have jurisdiction and therefore the vote on the investigation into NSA spying on Americans.
Remember that Roberts is chair of the Senate "Intelligence" Committee, and has killed every attempt to oversee the president and vice president's assertions that they are supreme over the laws passed by congress.
Specter, on the other hand, has been less chummy and presents the notion that the FISA court should take up the matter right away.
"I think my position will prevail," Specter said, noting that he will have Democratic support (link here).
However, unless some republicans come along for the ride, since they have the majority of members on Specter's committee, the dems will not be enough to bring it to a floor vote.

What has happened to Doug Elderich? He used to be involved in every discussion concerning voting corruption, but I haven't seen his name for some time. Anyone know?
