Who did Novak blow? Why isn't he on the line?

There were two leakers in the White House, novak has already said that back in 2003. He ought to know because he was in the loop.
So, is Matthew Cooper now revealing the "chosen one", while the other leaker goes free? Was it cheney who leaked to Judith Miller? Why is novak not a key part of this investigation given what he knows?

I think it's fairly clear that Novak sang long ago. But that's just my take on things.

maybe he'll testify under oath that he can't reveal his source.

Agree with Brad #4. That's why Novak can sit there with his smug necrotic grin all these months. This investigation seems to be taking no prinoners. So when the heat was turned up on Novak, he caved before the others.
On CNN I think they just talked about the leaker as a kind of deap throat, but in this case the whistle blower is the guy who got publicly smeared, and the criminal who undermined our security is the cowardly leaker. They'll all criminals who fold under light questioning. Someone needs to ask Bush some serious questions...

Cooper will probably name Karl Rove, but be reluctant to name Bolton or Cheney is my bet. The other two, one or the other forced George Tenet to bring down the CIA records which would make those CIA agents well known and threaten national security.
Once this goes down we'll be seeing a perp walk. Time to get the lynch test started or prepared with protests.

IF KARL ROVE WAS INVOLVED INT HE SO CALLED "LEAK" THE TIMES WOULD HAVE GIVEN THE INFORMATION TO THE KERRY CAMPAIGN AND YOU KNOW IT!
COOPER MADE UP HIS SOURCE, IN FACT THE WASHINGTON POST IS THEORIZING THAT THE REPORTER HIMSELF TOLD THE GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND.
THIS IS ANOTHER NONE STORY JUST LIKE DSM!
YOU NUTS GO 90 MPH ON EVERY LITTLE STUPID LIE CONYERS AND OTHERS THROW AT YOU FOR A WEEK, THEN YOU GO 10 MPH, WAITING FOR THE NEXT RAWSTORY/CONYERS/LIBERAL NON EXPLOSIVE NEWS!
MORONS!

I watched both Lou Dobbs and Keith Olbermann tonight, and BOTH programs were wildly off the mark - decrying Miller's incarceration and proclaiming the death of journalism is journalists are compelled to reveal their sources.
The point is that the source(s) in this case was committing a crime, not reporting on one. Can NO ONE in the MSM see the distinction?

As we can all see, JIMMO and other neo-cons are upset about this because Cooper would not only be jailed for perjury but forced to take a lie-detector test if he lied about the source before the Judge.
And that means there is literally no wiggle room left for our perp friend, and who in the Bolton staff drew down the CIA files to begin with.

When I saw this story, I started dovetailing my research efforts to see just what in the hell was going on with Karl Rove's friend Lewis Libby.

Apparently they put america in harm's way directly and committed treason, in order to send a message to those who would whistle blow on the manufacturing of evidence.
Niger-Gate is related to the forging of documents in order to give USA authority to go to war, and Joseph Wilson along with his friends were exposing this fraud.
In addition to this the democratic BOE members in Ohio could face criminal prosecution, for deliberately covering up a city of fraud and lying to officials about what they were doing. These folks fired Sherole Eaton and are now being forced to accept her back on the Board of Elections along with possible resignations.
Witness the telltale chart of 2004 fraud in a scathing, ugly linear regression graph

Thanks for the link Jen!
The Washington Post article raises a few more questions. For instance, is Judith Miller working for the government? Undercover, as in the CIA? If so, did she learn that Valerie Plame was CIA from someone in the agency? Or knew because of her role as CIA minister of propaganda? This smells like her rat hole.

Judith Miller? Didn't she have a weird relationship with the "suicided" british Dr.Kelly ?

Judith Miller is about as much of a heroine as Lucretia Borgia.
She used her precious anonymous sources to inform us about WMD in Iraq that never existed. As a result, over 1,700 Americans have died in an undeclared war, fought under false pretenses.
"Judge Judy" blames these unnamed sources for the error, but without apologizing to the families of the soldiers who died on account of her blunder.
Now she's the journalist's Joan of Arc for spending four months at a tennis camp? Puh-leeze!

#25 Jen,
Nice catch! I found that 8 pages of missing information quite compelling: It looks as though the prosecutor has something that could do some damage. It remains to be understood how closely this gets to the Vice President and President.

Our good buddy Don Wycliff from the Chicago Tribune had this to say about Miller:
-snip-
I think we need to become far more realistic about the 1st Amendment, quit talking about it as if it were some ultimate trump card that puts journalists above the law and beyond accountability, and recognize it for what it is: a constitutional tool that belongs to all the people for the protection of the right of all the people to be informed about the working of their government.
Most important, I think we need to rethink our current headlong rush to trade away the 1st Amendment in its fullness for the protection that a federal "shield law" would confer upon some tiny fraction of "the people" who call themselves journalists.
-snip-
Miller is in jail because she pledged confidentiality to a rat--someone who was trying to get back at a political critic of the current administration by revealing to the world that the critic's wife was a secret agent of the United States government. In other words, the source chose to play politics by playing with the life of an American spy, not to mention all of her contacts.

Now if Mr. Wycliff is able to recognize that such a vindictive person exists in the White House (presumably Karl Rove), how is it that he's unable to intuit that any adminstration employing such tactics would not also steal two elections?
Why would anyone with an elemental sense of fairness. sufficient to editorialize against the outing of Valerie Plame, want us to forget about the orchestrated theft of our democratic process, and use the likes of Richard Nixon as a role model for doing so? What am I missing here?
Bob Koehler knows Wycliff. Maybe he can weigh in on this bizarre individual.
